Link scanning and safety

Koalendar scans all links for potential threats and warns users of harmful links, ensuring a safe and trusted scheduling experience.

How it works

When a user clicks a link saved in Koalendar, we check it against a database of harmful sites like phishing or malware. If a threat is found, Koalendar will show a warning or information page.

Safe links

If there are no issues detected with the link, the user will continue to the selected link as expected. There will be no interstitial page or impact to the user flow.

Leaving Koalendar Notification

For Free and Trial users, whenever a link is clicked within Koalendar that navigates away from Koalendar, a neutral notification interstitial will appear. This is to inform you that you are leaving Koalendar; this does not imply that the link is unsafe. It’s simply a reminder to ensure you are aware of changing contexts.

Unsafe links

Links that have been deemed to be unsafe will take users to an interstitial, warning that the link is not safe to select. Should users wish to proceed, they will be required to manually copy and paste the link into their browser.
